Cut mimosa branches carried indoors on a cold January morning. A bright powdery-floral accord of absolute mimosa from Mandelieu, ylang-ylang, and white musk that stays close to the skin like a second warmth.
The estuary at low tide. Sea salt, marine grasses, and a precise accord of ambergris and white cedar recreate the particular silence of the Camargue shoreline at dusk. Spare, hypnotic, saline.
Not the lavender of tourist shops. This is high-altitude lavandin from the Plateau de Valensole at 1100 m, distilled in our own copper alembic. Camphorated, herbaceous, and grounded by Virginian cedarwood and a trace of black pepper.
The fig tree before noon, when the sap is still rising. Fig leaf absolute, green tomato, and a milky fig wood heart evoke the damp shade beneath a century-old tree in a Var courtyard. Green, lactonic, quietly radiant.
Limestone in late afternoon heat. A meditation on Provence without a single obvious flower: benzoin, labdanum, warm sandalwood, and a whisper of smoked hay. Slow-drying, contemplative, entirely itself.
Six 8 ml flacons — one for each fragrance in the collection. Hand-assembled in our Grasse atelier and shipped in a linen-covered box with a printed scent guide. The considered way to begin.
